Flexibility drives ability grouping in Utah school
Recent research shows grouping students by ability -- a sometimes controversial practice -- is re-emerging in U.S. schools. Teachers at a Utah elementary school use ability grouping, but school administrators say it looks different than it did in the past. Some hallmarks of the school's system include fluid movement between groups and access to enrichment activities and extra tutoring.
