Teachers prepare for deeper learning under common core
As Connecticut schools transition to the Common Core State Standards, educators say students should expect a fundamental shift to deeper learning and independent thinking. For instance, educators say that instead of determining what happened in a text, such as Arthur Miller's play, "The Crucible," the goal will be to determine what the text is about.
