Guided Inquiry Unit - Librarian and Teachers:)

Guided inquiry, as Carol Collier Kuhlthau envisions it, is a model based on collaboration between the classroom teacher and the librarian.  Sadly, many schools in Maine no longer have full time librarians.  Rumford Elementary does, Eileen Broderick. Eileen collaborates with teachers using the guided inquiry model Kuhlthau proposed.

During this one hour webinar, Eileen and her team mate, Denise Richard, will review a unit on animals they have co-taught.  The presentation is teacher friendly.  Viewers will be amazed by the level of thinking these students demonstrate.

Please join us on March 3, 2011 - 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Topic:  A librarian and elementary (4th) classroom teacher present a guided inquiry unit  (science)
            on  animals.
